WHAT WE STAND FOR
In communities across the nation, the challenges of drug abuse and unemployment cast a shadow over the potential of countless individuals. Recent statistics highlight the gravity of the situation, revealing that a significant percentage of young adults face the harsh realities of both substance dependency and joblessness. Recognizing the urgency of this issue, our foundation has embarked on a mission to break the cycle, driven by the belief that empowerment is the antidote.
Reports indicate that approximately one in every 11 youths aged 15 – 24 years (632,846) is currently using at least one drug or substance of abuse in Kenya. On the contrary, the youth population of Kenyans aged between 18-34 years constitute 14 million or 29% of the total population. Youth unemployment is estimated to be as high as 35%. These stark figures underscore the need for a holistic approach, and that's where our foundation steps in. Through the innovative "Last Mile" program, we're not just tackling the symptoms but addressing the root causes. By fostering awareness about substance abuse and delivering preventive measures, alongside providing crucial digital skills training, affordable devices, and pathways to dignified employment, we're creating a blueprint for change. Our goal is clear: to uplift individuals, break the chains of dependency and unemployment, and guide them towards a future brimming with possibilities.
